Boatieblog to Bring You Live Coverage from Ft. Lauderdale [w/mixtape]

In less than 24hrs boatieblog is packing up it’s foul weather gear and heading down to the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).  Thats right, and we’ll be blog-casting live from the event;  leave it to a bunch of boaties and old salts to actually head in the direction of a hurricane just so they can be closer to a bunch of boats.  As of this morning, the only effect Hurricane Sandy has had on the show is to reschedule the aerial flyover and the fireworks show.  The flyover has been moved to 2:30 on Sunday the 28th and the fireworks will take place at 7pm on Sunday the 28th (press release here).  If the weather has changed your plans or you just can’t make the trip this year be sure to check in every few hours for updates from FLIBS.  Leave me a comment if there is anything you’d really like to see coverage of from the show.

As a bonus, here’s a boatie mixtape for your road-trip (or boat-trip) to Ft. Lauderdale.
