First Look: Pavati Marine, Legit Wake w/video

Source: Pavati Marine
Aluminum boats are so hot right now.  Pontoon boats and aluminum fishing boats have been chart busters in the recent down economy; and their sales have only seemed to continue to grow as boat sales climb.  So why not try and translate that into other types of boats.

Check out the wakeboard boat Pavati Marine has created.  They’ve thrown away the conventional boat molds and picked up the TIG welders.  All marine grade aluminum construction allows these boats to be completely custom made.  Even the tow arch is completely welded to the hull.  Pavati is no stranger to the marine market.  They have been constructing aluminum drift boats since 2009.  These guys are also no stranger to aluminum construction; their sister company (highway products) has been manufacturing aluminum structures and accessories for the trucking industry since the 1980’s.

Why aluminum? Because it is lighter and stronger than traditional fiberglass construction.  Pavati’s AX-V24 hull weighs in at a featherweight 2,800lbs.  Compare that to Nautique’s new G23 at 5,400lbs.  Which one would your truck rather be towing to the lake?  Less gas money to the lake means more gas money for wakeboard sessions.  The light weight also makes this boat an ideal candidate as a crossover for wake sports.  With the massive ballast tanks drained, the low weight hull should practically hover over the water; perfect for skiers trying to make a pass.
