Ft. Lauderdale: Everglades Boats

The guys at Everglades can display boats just as well designed as they build them.  With one of the more impressive indoor displays at this year’s Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, Everglades didn’t disappoint.  There are a few new items this year.  The 243 has an optional tower helm station to help you sight in your next fishing hotspot.  The factory has also started pre-installing minn-kota trolling motors.  After checking out the new items we climbed aboard the 355T to snoop around a little, one of my favorite features was the hydraulically actuated windshield.  Forget those tiny vents, the whole windshield actuates out of the way to help keep you cool on those hot summer days; or if your are running at night having the windshield down cuts out any glare you might get from the glass.  As always, the unsinkable construction of these boats can’t be overlooked.  There are some great pictures after the jump of an Everglades boat that has been sectioned into thirds to give you a visual of their rugged and unsinkable construction.

Check out the rest of our photo gallery after the jump.
