We’ll call the guys from 7 Marine fashionably late to the boat show this weekend. They were actually the smart ones. While the rest of us suffered through the effects of Hurricane Sandy the first couple days; the engine gurus from Wisconsin managed to stay dry and did it in style. Check out the pair of custom paint jobs they brought to the show. The main body of the engines is painted in imperial blue, a color from BMW's palette; while the accent bits of the cowling received the dorado treatment. While there were plenty of transoms at the boat show pushing over 1000 horsepower, this is the only one that could do it with just two outboards (that’s 1114 hp). The sales team at Seven Marine told us that the motors will finally be available for consumption here in the last quarter of this year. Sounds like Santa may come a little early for some lucky boat owners this year. Seven Marine is also hard at work getting their motors certified for international distribution, so all you international readers won’t have to be jealous for too long.
