Official: EPA Approves E15 for Sale in U.S.

We all saw this one coming.  Back in April the EPA approved a few applications for the blend, and today they officially announced the approval of sale by retailers.  Despite protest from the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, the Science Committee in the House of Representatives, and the NMMA the approval has gone through.  There is a push by the current administration to increase the use of E15 over the next five years, a push that seems to have given E15 a solid boost of momentum.  The good news is, the EPA does acknowledge E15 is not for use in boats and marine engines among other small engines.  Maybe we can convince the current administration to throw some momentum towards isobutanol as a biofuel for the marine industry.
