If the pontoon boat is the “minivan” of boats, then the deck boat is
the “station wagon.” Utility
and versatility, the deck boat can take you fishing with the guys in the
morning, tubing and water sports with the kids in the afternoon, and then a romantic
sunset cruise with the misses later that evening. Probably the biggest feature that differentiates
a deck boat from a pontoon is the boat hull's running surface. Carolina Skiff’s Fun Chaser series uses a
fiberglass hull to combine the palatial layout of a pontoon with the handling of
a traditional powerboat hull. Carolina
Skiff has two models, the 1900 DS and the 2200 DS, both are available in either
a cruiser trim or a fishing trim package.
Keep an eye out as Carolina Skiff also has a fiberglass minivan pontoon
series of boats coming out later this year.
