News: Yamaha Sells Century Boats to Allcraft Marine

Source: Century Boats
Fans of Century Boats will be pleased to hear that the brand is finally poised to make a comeback.  After being shuttered back in 2009 by Yamaha Marine, Century Boats has been sold to Allcraft Marine who is ready to restart production.  Bryan Lucius, President of Allcraft Marine, had this to say of the purchase, “We are very excited about restarting production of Century brand boats.  Strategically, Century will give us a presence in the larger offshore market.”

Currently, Allcraft marine manufactures two brands of fiberglass boats, Allcraft and Stumpnocker, at their Dade City, FL location.  The purchase of the Century Boat brand included the molds and equipment and not the former Century Boats facility in Panama City, FL.  Allcraft hopes to get the molds to their facility in Dade City to begin production in time for the 2013 model year.
