Boating + Tailgating = Boatgating = AWESOME! w/video

Woohoo, college football officially kicks off today.  Living in the south, college football is one of the most anticipated sports seasons of the year for us.  We have waited patiently all year to suffer through cheer and tailgate through another season.  Sadly, for most of us, sporting events on the weekend means one less day out on the water.  But I have discovered there are a few select stadiums and sporting arenas where you can plan to tailgate within the cockpit of your own boat.

For those unfamiliar with boatgaiting, it’s all the fun of regular tailgating but made more awesome by the addition of a boat.  If you’re curious where the best boatgaiting stadiums are check out this list compiled by DiscoverBoating.com  Burger, brats, beers, and boats; four of my favorite words that start with the letter ‘B’.  Just be sure to boatgate responsibly, get yourself a designated boatie.

Check out the video of some real life boatgating after the jump. (Even though this video features the Tennessee Vols, there is a very smart young man doing the Gator Chomp at about the 1:20 mark.)

A College Football Joke:
