I once heard it said that, “If God wanted us to use fiberglass boats he would have made fiberglass trees.”  I am pretty sure even if God were to have an Arc built today it would still be hand built from wood.  Thankfully there are still highly qualified craftsman dedicated to that most classic boat building ingredient; craftsman like Mike Kiefer of Great Lakes Boat Building Company.  Not only are Mike’s creations timeless and striking, they are somewhat famous.  His vessels have appeared in both Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Pirates of the Caribbean.  Check out the video of Mike at work after the jump.  After the video check out Great Lakes Boat Building Company to daydream they remainder of your Friday; hopefully you have a boat trip planned for the weekend.
