Boston Whaler has a couple new vessels to peddle during this
season’s boat shows. The Whaler brand
has a special place in my heart as they were my first employer after
college. I’m reminded of one particular
design review where, while climbing onto one of the yard boats, my pants
ripped. I’m not talking about a small split;
when I looked back I couldn’t believe the right pant leg was still attached to my
Dockers. By some miracle I was the last
to climb aboard and managed to keep all my colleagues across the deck at all
times. I even managed to make it back to
my desk without anyone catching a glimpse of my boxers where I conveniently had
a jacket waiting to tie around my waist.

170 Dauntless |
Boston Whaler’s new 170 Dauntless is a great addition to an
already solid Dauntless line-up. With
the great new Super Sport models, the 170 Dauntless seems like a great transitional
boat for owners looking to move up or jump into the brand. The hull appears peculiarly familiar (170
Super Sport maybe?). Check out the press
release for the 170 Dauntless here.

285 Conquest Pilothouse |
In a first ever build for the brand, Whaler’s 285 Conquest
Pilothouse seems to be a natural evolution for an already solid performer. The pilothouse make a solid workhorse look
even more confident while staring down foul weather. Although the placement of that sink looks a
bit questionable. Check out the press
release for the 285 Pilothouse here.
