First Look: Apple’s new iYacht w/video

Not really, this was Steve Jobs’ last project before he passed away a little over a year ago.  She goes by the name Venus, a beautiful all aluminum, full custom superyacht designed by Jobs himself.   Jobs reportedly worked closely with Philippe Starck on the design and he employed the chief engineer of his apple stores to design a glass with the structural integrity to support the yachts upper levels.  Sadly Jobs never saw his finished creation.

The 78.2m (257ft) superyacht is reportedly powered by two MTU 16V 4000 M73 diesel engines, and was built in the Netherlands by Feadship.  Ever dedicated to his product, the ships bridge is equipped with seven 27in iMac computers to complete the command station.  Check out more photos and a video of the superyacht after the jump.

A special thanks to Clayton for the tip about the iYacht!

I like that the satellite domes are mostly hidden up top.

That a big boat!

All aluminum and glass.

Can you imagine the view from in there?

Not much of a captains chair.  I wonder if you can control everything with your iPhone?

Lots of Freeboard

Nice Trunk
