Boatieblog is going to the The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The worlds largest in-water boat show will begin in a little less than a month.  The Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is said to feature more $30 billion worth of yachts, boats, and marine products.  Not like you need any more of an excuse to go to a boat show; but, in case your significant other is reluctant to attend, there will be plenty of entertainment to keep them busy while you comb the docks for your next dream boat.  The shows producers are even trying to model this years show after 'theme parks' in an effort to better organize the show by boat types and lifestyles.  Here is a short list of some of the fun and entertainment the show has to offer: yachts, boats, floating cocktail barges, riverboat rides, marine accessories, international food garden, live music on the floating cocktail barges, exotic cars, more boats, and more yachts.  I’ve given you more than enough excuses to attend the show for yourself.  But don’t stress if you can’t get away next month, because Boatieblog will be down in sunny South Florida to cover the whole show for you.

The show’s prime time preview starts on Thursday, Oct 25th, general admission begins Friday the 26th and will run through Monday the 29th.  The preview tickets start at $34 and general admission starts at $36 for a two day adult pass, $18 for a one day adult, $3 for kids ages 6-15, and kids under 6 are free.  Those prices are only good if you purchase the tickets online; you can expect to pay a little more at the show, plus they only accept cash at the door.

Leave me a comment if you plan on attending the show next month.
