I blame James Bond for my obsession with amphibious vehicles. Watching that Lotus Esprit slip under the water in The Spy Who Loved Me when I was a kid had me hooked. Forget flying cars, give me amphibious vehicles. Gibbs has released another amphibian in their already impressive line up. Joining their car and truck is the Quadski; a single seater, rear wheel drive quad powered by a 1.3liter BMW four cylinder engine. The Quadski can take you from 45mph on land to 45mph on water in as little time as it takes you to enter the water and stow the wheels, which according to Gibbs is only a few seconds. The amphiquad weighs in at a 1180lbs and $40,000 and should hit dealer’s showrooms next month in November. Check out a video of some Quadskis in action after the jump and get the full specs at the Gibbs Sports website.
