The insatiable Google has teamed up with The Catlin Seaview Survey to offer incredible underwater “streetviews” of the Great Barrier Reef. Google Maps is striving to provide people with the most comprehensive, accurate and usable map of the world. With this new underwater imagery, I’d say they are well on their way. Now you can preview your next exotic dive trip even before you gas up the boat. Maybe someday we’ll be using Google’s Streetview to navigate the oceans and other bodies of water. It’s only a matter of time now before Google takes over the world.

Pretty cool stuff - there are so many places you can visit but it will never replace the adventure of being there in person.
