What's a Boatie?: An Interview With Myself
As you may have noticed the name of this blog has evolved and I have a fancy new logo to go with it. In an attempt to calm the nerves of all you "change haters" I conducted a short interview with myself to try and explain just what happened. The interview is short because it’s the weekend and there is still a lot of boating to be done.
Q: What is a boatie?
A: Kind of like a foodie, but with boats. But not like those esoteric, d-bag foodies that are more like food snobs and think less of anyone not in their circle of foodies. A boatie is anyone that has a passion for being on the water and helps cultivate that passion in others.
Q: Why change the name from boatfullblog to boatieblog?
A: Why change the name? Why change the name? I’m clearly stalling here; I don’t really know why. Here are a few reasons off the top of my head: I like the name better, I have a cool logo to go with it, I’m attempting to coin a new word.
Q: Will anything else be changing?
A: I don’t know, probably. But you can rest assured the good folks here at boatieblog will search high and low, deep and wide, and from sea to shining sea to bring you any and all things boat related.
